Where can I get good Fly Fishing Gear?
I’m gonna go fly fishing in new mexico but i don’t know where to look for good fly fishing gear? What’s the top of the line stuff or not so good stuff? (just for some kind of reference)

I would visit a local outfitter store such as cabelas, bass pro, or gander mountain….there are people there that would be more then happy to help you find great gear!

If you are looking for top of the line gear go with Simms. They are American made waders and clothing as well as accessories and packs. Everywhere you find guides you find Simms. It’s quality gear too and they stand behind their products. Ross makes great reels and Sage great rods. If you are just going once you probably don’t need the best gear. Like the previous answer check out a Cabelas or local fishing shop and odds are they will be able to answer your questions and set you up with everything you need.

Bass Pro has complete rod and reel packages right down to the backing and tapered leader. some are amazing deals and when you walk out the front door you are set and ready to go fishing.

i build my own rods and i can’t buy the materials to build one for the price of some of their packages in some cases, never mind furnishing it with a reel and a decent line.
