Braid has got poorer abrasion resistance, not better, when compared to mono and fluoro, as the fibers catch and tear individually on rough surfaces.

I use braids for deep sea angling where its no-stretch and thin diameter allow me more sensitivity, smaller weights and more line.

Inshore, i use mono or fluoro as they both have less chances of being shredded on barnacled rocks and pillars..

make sure to lubricate all knots with mono and braid, as well as fluro, because the braid could very well cut through the mono, unless the knot is lubricated with saliva.

oh, and use the PALOMAR KNOT when tying your braid to your lure. this is ipmortant, as the typical clinch or fishermans knot will slip when used with braid, because of the no stretch. Also, when tying your backing to the braid, use a SURGEONS or UNI knot.

dont spool your braided line directly to your spool. that wil lcause the line to slip, and you will see that there are problems with it, That is one of the main reasons people shy away from braid, as well as the up front cost, and of course how damn different it is to mono users. WHAT YOU MUST DO:

put on a mono backing that is equivalent to the diameter of the braid plus a few pounds, and spoool about 30-50 or more yards. Ex. 30 lb prpro is 8 lb equiv, put on 10-14 lb mono backing.

braid can hold your weight when you hang yourself with it,detrimental to the enviroment.you know,like humans.hahahaha

constipation = you
