take a small bottle of water with you and spray the line with it it will reduce the thumb to line fiction!
yeah i’m new to nonlevelwinds myself..took my new avet out last night in the dark!! hooked into a 100 lb jewfish and when fighting large fish its hard to concentrate on your line..just use your thumb to act as a levelwind would, run it side to side in the same manner..criss cross your line so it won’t dig into the spool on a big fish..practice winding it on with some decent tension and make sure there are no peaks on the spool, keep it level.
that is a shimano TLD..
what reel is that
I would guess this guy has never had a bad thumb burn. Use the thumb against the side of the spool-not the line.
WrIsTsTr0nG,
Slowly, and evenly. All that matters Is that the spool spins evenly and pays out line at the same rate. IE not bunched at one end. The spool would then spin at the same speed, but pay out line at different rates. This and casting into a head wind, can create birds nests with your line.
Basically practice, load the line evenly, and beware of over runs on the spool, whilst casting.
wat u do is if u have a guided one it puts it evenly if u dont have a guided u use ur finger to guid it
hey great video but do you have a video on how to spool it like how to get the line on the reel evenly?
